Pharmashield Dispensary opened its doors on December 2, 1971 with owner Mr. Richard A. Hainsworth. Mr. Hainsworth owned a Pharmacy in Burlington, Brants Pharmacy. Initially business was slow, however, the residents of Niagara Falls grew to appreciate the quality of service and products that Pharmashiled provided and their patronage began to increase dramatically. In February of 1988 Mr. Hainsworth sold the Pharmacy and Surgical to Mr. Kurban Lalani. Mr. Lalani's business thrived on the same principals and service that initially made Pharmashield a success. Today At Pharmashield: In July of 1996 Pharmashield Dispensary was purchased by the current owners, Veronica Rudan and Antonio Gomezberumen. The staff at Pharmashield continue to provide professional and efficient service to their customers. Their knowledge and expertise are number one in the community and the volume of business they do substantiates it. Today Pharmashield is one of the busiest pharmacies in the Niagara Region providing prescriptions and home care to both Niagara residents and tourists from the U.S. and beyond.
